The bare necessities

The very (or not so) interesting contents of my handbag.

The handbag is from Topshop, I posted about it a while ago here.

The contents:

• My GEEKY Jasper Conran glasses for work
• My ipod for moments when you just need to de-stress to your fave tuneeee
• My Blackberry Bold for checking blogger and multiple other addictive social media sites
• A 2012 diary to keep a track on life (mainly organising fun trips out with friends and family)
• The purse is from River Island, I fell in love with it and HAD to have it!
• My staple 'can't go anywhere without' Vaseline rosy lip salve and atomiser filled with Prada perfume
• Lancome L'Absolu Rouge in 132 (Trust me, this is the best red on the market!)
• Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in 337
• Yves Saint Laurent Lumiere Aqua Resistant eye shadow in number 1
• Clarins hand and nail cream

My bag is also full of lots of rubbish and other unuseful things - but that's for my eyes only!

Nifty idea - Cake stand jewellery holder

I thought I would share with you a little idea I had recently - I brought this gorgeous Regency cake stand from Urban Outfitters with the intention of using it as a jewellery holder, and I think it looks great!

What do you think?

I also brought this cute bowl too, and I'll be storing all my rings in there by the side of the cake stand!

It will look even better when I get my white washed dressing table; the cake stand will take centre stage.

A good presents for life... not just for Christmas!

So, I saw a lot of you were posting your favourite Christmas gifts on your blogs for us all to see. And I've enjoyed reading all your posts so much that I decided to do one of my own, albeit a little late!

Some gifts were: a large gold Fossil watch from my Father, a new Tiffany's charm from the Mother (teddy bear), Miss Dior perfume and La Senza silk PJ's from my Nan, a gorgeous cream fur jacket and cook book, Urban Decay Naked eye pallet, a pretty 2012 diary from and a vintage compact mirror from my best friend Shay.

A HUGE thank you to them all, and everyone else for their wonderful gifts. I'm more of a giver than a reciever at Christmas... not that I'm complaining though!

Family 50's fun

It was my Uncles 50th and my Cousins 30th and they decided to have a 40s/50s style party to celebrate, we had a fantastic evening and everyone got really involved in the dressing up!

Sarah Kay Photography took all of these wonderful photos - aren't they great! She has really captured the fun of the night.

A local group called The Memphis Belles kept us entertained all night with music, singing and dancing from the era - My favourite part of the night was reinacting the lift scene from dirty dancing!

I wish I could dress like this everyday.
